Here with a loaf of bread beneath the bough,
A jug of wine, a book of verse-and thou
Beside me singing in the wilderness-
And wilderness is paradise now.
Although the Crystal Quail Restaurant does not have
a license our customers have brought in some of the best wines
in the world.
Because of the limited seating capacity, the Crystal Quail could
not serve wine to the public when it first opened 35 years ago.
Since then the laws have changed. We could now qualify, but that
would prohibit anyone from bringing their own. So we decided
to continue the way we started because people were arriving with
some extraordinary wines. Wines that they had been saving for
that special occasion or wines that they had brought back from
that last vacation and not available in the U. S.
